Are you required to have a passport to travel from El Paso, TX to Los Angeles?
I'm planing on going for a week to Los Angles on a visit but I'm not sure if I would have to have a passport to get on a plane. Is it required now? or can I go without one? I know about the applications for one but I cant exactly get one now, so would I just have to wait till I was eligible for a passport?

Answer 1 :
no passports needed for traveling within the USA. So you will not need one, just make sure you do got a form of ID
Answer 2 :
you need a driver's license or state issued ID, if you don't have a passport
Answer 3 :
Considering that Los Angeles IS in the country of California, which is NOT the United States, yes, you would probably need a passport. I know for a fact that any time you travel to another country, even Canada, you must have at least two types of identification of which one is a passport.
Answer 4 :
Yes, any travel, even by car, now requires a passport, didn't you know? Executive order 164-74-563D passed last Tuesday requiring all non-emergency and non-military personnel to have proper ID at all times.
Answer 5 :
If you are an American citizen traveling domestically you do not need a passport. A passport is only for traveling outside of the U.S. and actually the only reason you need the passport is to re-enter the U.S. To go from one state to another you do not need a passport.
Answer 6 :
Heh! Both those places might seem like Mexico, but they're actually in the U.S. And you can get on domestic flights with a drivers license or similar photo ID.
Answer 7 :
this is why people from other countries laugh at us. no.
Answer 8 :
You do realize that you are going from texas to california correct? do you also realize they are both in the U.S. Just a drivers license will do.. silly =)
