Do i need a passport to travel by plane from El Paso to houston Texas? Im american?
im going to visit my dad, I am from El paso Texas and my mom told me that i need the passport that looks like a book, but i only have the passport id card, and my dad told me that i just need the one that i have but im not sure at all...help please

hahaha no i dont think so. All air travel in the united states doesnt require you to have yocaryy your passport you just need to have proof that you are an american citizen

Nope, you don't need a passport as long as you have a US state identification, or if under 18 your parent has a US state identificaiton.

if its an international flight for example: El Paso, Texas to Cancun, Mexico then you will need a passport. but if its within this country (like what your gonna be doing) El Paso, Texas to Houston, Texas then the need for a passport is not neaded

The ONLY time you need a passport is when you travel to another country, so your mom is telling a lie. Is there any reason why she wouldn't want you to see your dad? To board a aircraft you WILL need a photo I.D.

Nope. You shouldn't anyway. If it's anywhere within the United States, even Alaska and Hawaii to my knowledge, you do not need a passport. You really don't even need any form of identification unless you are going to drive or you don't want extra problems if you run into the law. If you go out of the country, then you do need a passport.
